As an internet marketer, you need several things to happen for you to be successful. If you minimize your risk, you stand a better chance of succeeding. Marketing to a niche instead of the mass market is one way to achieve this. Let’s look at a few niche marketing tips that will help you maximize your profit.

Two niche marketing tips in particular will help you beyond measure. Choosing specific keyword phrases and probing deep into your niche will help maximize your results. Each of these tactics can provide better results than you would receive otherwise.

First of all let’s look at the advantages of specific keyword phrases. When someone types in a longer phrase, they are looking for very specific information. General phrases are much more hotly contested on the internet. The more specific you get, the less competition you will have for traffic. While there may be less visitors overall, you may get more visitors than if you went after a broad term.

The way to find good specific keyword phrases is by doing research. Keyword research is vital to any internet marketer. There are many keyword tools available online. If you want to succeed it is critical that you learn to use one of them. These types of tools can help you discover words that are related to your niche. Many times, they are phrases that you haven’t really thought of otherwise. Besides coming up with new phrases, you’ll also find out which ones are worth your time. You can find out the search demand and supply for each keyword. This will let you know how many people you’re competing with. It will also let you know how many people are searching for the information. This one step alone could save you weeks of frustration. There’s nothing worse than doing hours of work marketing a product, only to find out that no one wants or needs it.

The second of our niche marketing tips is going deep inside the niche. While you may think you’re in a niche, it may actually be a large canyon. You can always go down deeper into the niche you’re in with sub-niches. Once you’ve mastered one area, you can drill down deeper and completely master the many sub-niches in your area of expertise. There is always someone out there looking for the most obscure things. If you’re the first one to provide it for them, you will profit greatly.

While you may not get as much traffic from these sub-niches, the quality of the traffic is generally better. People that are typing in a very specific keyword phrase into a search engine are usually looking for a specific solution. If you can provide it, they’ll buy from you. So don’t get discouraged if you only get a few hits on these keywords. You will probably have a higher conversion rate on those hits. Therefore each hit becomes worth more.

With these niche marketing tips, you should be better equipped to go out there and tackle the internet ‘ one niche at a time.

Many people are now turning to niche markets as they realize that generalized marketing is quite expensive, where niche marketing is cheaper and provides much better results. This type of marketing, actually studies into how certain customers decide to choose a certain service or product. Then a niche marketer works to understand this specific group and tailor make promotions to sell their product. So, if you are involved in niche marketing no doubt you can use some niche marketing tips to increase your profit.

Tip #1 – Use the Language of Your Niche Market – There are many great niche marketing tips; however, one of the most important is to make sure that you use the language of your niche market. When you are writing sales letters or web content directed towards your niche market, you will need to use their language. Using the language of your niche market helps you to approach your market as a peer instead of an outsider. If you can’t speak their language, they won’t hear you, so keep the language true to the market.

Tip #2 – Have a Unique Selling Proposition – Having your own unique selling proposition is another important niche marketing tip that you’ll need to use as well. Market saturation is continuing to increase, which means that more and more consumers are not becoming jaded. There are more advertisements in the market and they are bright and loud, which can cause ads to all start looking the same to the consumers. To stand out among the rest of the marketers in your niche, you’ll need to have a very unique selling proposition to draw customers.

Tip #3 – Research Your Consumer Base – If you are not familiar with your consumer base, there is no way you can successfully market to them. Another of the many important niche marketing tips is to make sure that you research your consumer base. You need to know everything you can about the consumer base and you may want to learn about any additional services that they want as well. This can help you avoid stagnation if you can develop other products for your niche market.

Tip #4 – Develop a Sub-Niche – Last of all, another helpful niche marketing tip is to develop a sub-niche. Believe it or not, developing a sub-niche can actually help you to expand your consumer base. For example, while women are a niche, a sub-niche could be women under the age of 30.

If you are involved in niche marketing today, you know how profitable it can be; however, there is always some room for improvement. Take these niche marketing tips and put them to use so you can increase your profits and become an even better niche marketer.

Niche market ideas – how to identify niche market skill and interest. Before you even begin research possible niche markets to target, you need to seriously consider about your interest and skills in your choosing niche market.

* What are you interested in?
* What are you passionate about?
* What subject or topic do you have a lot of knowledge about?
* What are people always coming to you for advice about?

Whether it’s expertise you picked up on the job, skills you developed through a hobby, or interest in a subject you’ve long wanted to explore further, just about every single skill or interest you have is something that can become the foundation for a successful business.

And if you base your business on something you’re already familiar with, you’ll be building on your existing knowledge. And that means you’ll be able to focus on developing your online marketing knowledge and avoid the steep learning curve and research involved in starting a business in a field you don’t already know about.

You’ll also be able to speak knowledgeably and credibly about your product. Once your business is up and running, you’ll need to prove that you’re the expert to turn to when people are trying to solve their problem.

This will be much easier if you start with something you already know, then use the tools we’ll give you to successfully promote your idea on the Internet — and profit from it!

What are my skills and interests?

Carefully consider your own interests, hobbies, and areas of expertise. If you find it difficult to pinpoint exactly what these are, don’t worry. You’re not alone. A lot of people have trouble figuring out what makes them “tick.”

You simply need to stop and think about your life experiences. Create a list of all the jobs you’ve ever had all the hobbies you’ve ever pursued , all the volunteer work you’ve ever done , all the times you’ve helped someone and felt really good about it and all the things you’re interested in or think you’re good at.
Niche market ideas – how to identify niche market skill and interest. If you seriously consider about your interest and skills you have huge possibilities to find profitable niche market.

Internet marketers are always talking about niche market research as if it’s a guarded magical process that only a few insiders truly understand. Well, we’re going to show you a quick and easy, step-by-step process for doing niche marketing research that you can start using immediately.

How does that sound?

Pretty cool, huh?

So, let’s get started.

Step One: Your Goal

The goal of this process is to come to the end of it with a brand new niche market that you know you can go into and start making money almost immediately. It’ll be a hungry market, with hungry buyers, and enough openings for you to slip in without anyone noticing.

Step Two: Amazon.com

We’re after a clearly defined niche market that is already populated by a group of hungry buyers. So, we’re going to start at Amazon.com. At the top of the first page, next to the search box, select the book department, and go. In the left hand navigation column, you’ll notice all the different book topics. Pick one that interests you. Let’s say, Parenting & Families.

Now, you’ll notice a new set of topics in the left hand column. Pick one. Let’s say, Family Relationships. And from that navigation column, let’s choose Divorce.

Step Three: Reviews

Our first glance at the books on divorce will focus on the number of reviews for each book. Reviews indicate a market that’s involved and active, which is what we’re looking for. At the time of this writing, you’ll see review numbers such as 149, 29, 90, 30, 62, 42 and so on. These are wonderful numbers. They demonstrate a clearly-active group. If you were seeing much smaller numbers, let’s say in the 0-10 range, then you’d have to be a little concerned about your market. Though it’s only one consideration in this process.

Step Four: Titles

Next, you want to take a look at the titles. Even though this section is about divorce, you’ll find titles such as How to Survive the Loss of a Love, and The Good Bye Book: How To Heal A Broken Heart In 30 Days, and Rebuilding: When Your Relationship Ends. These are all possible sub-niches. Not just about divorce, but how to survive the loss of a relationship. So you might want to note these potential sub-niches for future reference.

Step Five: Amazon.com Numbers

Next, you want to take a look at the sales ranking of these titles. Helping Your Kids Cope With Divorce is #3,670 in Books. This can be found by clicking on the book cover and moving down the page to the section title Product Details. Amazon.com Sales Rank for this title is 3,670. Since they carry millions of titles, this is an excellent ranking. Make note of it.

Step Six: Dummies

Does the topic have an Idiot’s Guide or a Dummies book? In the case of divorce, yes, there’s a Divorce For Dummies title. This is a plus. It demonstrates that research has already been conducted in this niche and the folks behind the Dummies books felt it was a profitable niche to go after. It’s not devastating if there isn’t a Dummies title in your niche, but it’s a definite plus if there is one.

Step Seven:

Check out the competition. If you enter “divorce” in a Google search, you’ll find that there are over 66 million pages on the Internet with that word in the content. You can’t compete with 66 million pages. You’ll never be seen. So you want to find a niche within divorce that you can go after. To do this, go to the Google External Keyword Tool (https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal) and enter the term “divorce.” Then start going down the list and entering the supplied keywords into a Google search inside quotes (for example: “divorce dating”) until you find a group of keywords without tons of competition.

Now you’ve done your niche market research and you’ve got yourself a niche market.

Want to see this process in action? Here’s a great series of free videos that will show you the why and how of using this system: 5 Free Videos.

Marketing to niches is a great way to focus in on specific groups of people and sell them the products and services they want. But, doing business online has grown more competitive over the past few years. Increasingly aggressive niche marketing tactics are required as the landscape has become filled with marketers hawking their goods to the same groups of people. If you want to compete in many of these markets, you need to use tactics that other marketers are either too lazy to use or of which they are simply unaware. This article will give you a few ideas that you can use to competitively market to your niches and grow your business.

Watching Your Competition

Most markets have multiple competitors. One of the key niche marketing tactics you should be using is to closely watch what the existing competition is doing. For example, search Google for keywords related to the niche. Find who buying ads. Then, look at who is ranking organically for those keywords on Google. Take notes because both of these listings (ads and organically-ranked sites) will change over time.

Next, visit these sites and watch how they’re marketing to the people in that niche (take notes here, too). Are they asking for people to subscribe to a newsletter? Are they using a blog? Is there a forum on their site? Knowing what your competition is doing can provide a guide for your own marketing efforts. Watching the strategies of other marketers is one of the most overlooked niche marketing tactics in your arsenal.

Building The Relationship

A lot of marketers focus only on getting visitors to buy something. For some markets, that works well. For others, it doesn’t. One of the key niche marketing tactics used by top marketers is building a relationship with the people in your market. Get them to sign up for a free e-mail course. Start a blog and encourage visitors to participate through comments. You can even use pay-per-click marketing to draw these visitors to your site. Once there, you create a relationship by getting them involved.

Attracting Attention With Videos

Many people are bored with their lives. They crave something new and exciting that gives them something to look forward to. That’s why niche marketing tactics that leverage videos can be so powerful. Use small videos to attract a following in your market. Though simple videos are an incredibly-effective marketing strategy, this tactic is most effective when it’s a multi-prong approach.

For example, create small videos (Camtasia works well for this) that both teach people something and entertains them. Then, load those videos onto YouTube, MySpace and other social networking sites that allow videos. Get viewers to visit your blog, on which you can have a few additional videos. Once on your blog, ask them to tell others about your videos. If you can give a bit of helpful information while making the viewer laugh, cringe or cry, videos can be a fantastic tactic to attract attention to your site.

Marketing will continue to become more competitive. Your business will require more aggressive niche marketing tactics over time. By constantly watching your competition, building and nurturing the relationship with your visitors and using videos to attract people in your niche market, you can create a marketing process that keeps your business competitive. While others are trying to market to niches with boring ideas that everyone uses, you can use these niche marketing tactics to increase your sales and build your business.

Aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners are often misled or misguided on the topic of how to properly conduct market research that uncovers a profitable niche.

The path most unsuspecting entrepreneurs take is by ending up at keyword tool or database to begin their search.

As a keyword research expert and founder of one of the leading keyword research services on the internet, I can say with firsthand experience that keyword databases are not the first place to look nor should be even considered. Here’s why.

The primary keyword databases that are currently available to the general public only give search counts on a limited amount of data that accounts for 1% – 2% of the actual searches people do around the entire world. They can only predict (emphasis added) the real majority of searches that are being done on the big five search engines such as Google, MSN, Yahoo, AOL and Ask.com which hold 97%-98% of the keyword data.

Most importantly, keyword research only shows what keyword phrases people are using in the search engines to search for answers, not what people actually buy on the internet. Just because a group of people search for specific terms or brand names does not mean that’s what they purchase. That’s a key distinction many entrepreneurs and business owners tend to gloss over.

When looking for a profitable niche marketplace, your primary focus should be looking for proof of a group of hungry and rabid buyers that want to exchange their money for a service or product (information, physical or digital). Without this crucial qualifier, you may have the greatest product in the world, but you may be lacking a market to sell it to.

This article will present a number of great sources to look at which will give you a running start to uncover a truly, profitable marketplace exists before you go for the gold and put all your resources into a website, product creation or expenditures toward some sort of online property.

Once you establish that you have located a market that contains signs of adequate commerce moving through it, you then have a worthy reason to look further into a keyword research service to find out what keyword phrases people use to find the market you have chosen.

Let’s begin looking at how to identify a profitable market.

MAGAZINES

One of the best ways to find signs of a truly profitable marketplace is looking for a magazine in that industry. If a publisher has enough money to print and circulate a full color magazine, there are most likely advertisers that support the funding of the magazine’s ability to circulate all the copies which most likely means there are sales being made by those advertisers.

Now, this may bring you to question whether there is too much competition in a marketplace with so many advertisers selling in a magazine.

In fact, it’s a great sign to have competition which means there is an adequate amount of customers to sell to and a portion of a sizable pie to be had in that marketplace. If there is very little competition, you may (1) not have adequate product being sold in that space; or (2) not have a marketplace to begin with. The larger the competition is, the larger the piece of revenues you will be able to grab.

Without having to leave your seat, you can hop on over to Magazines.com and looking through the number of different categories to find a profitable topic or industry in which to start an online concern.

One of the things you’ll want to focus in on is the number of subscribers each magazine has and how long the magazine has been in print for stability purposes.

Make a list of magazines you want to look into and then go hunting for them at one of those large dedicated newsstands that covers just about every magazine on every topic.

To get a better look at what people are buying in the online world, you will need to ultimately decide whether you wish to represent physical or digital products.

PHYSICAL PRODUCTS

There are two incredibly huge marketplaces that are massively trafficked, move a lot of product and are great places to find what people are really buying.

Let’€™s start with the first huge marketplace…

eBay

At eBay, you can look through a list of the most popular products people are buying through auctions or from eBay stores that vendors have setup. To see a visual path on how to locate the most popular products, please use the reference below to view the extended version of this article.

Amazon.com

Another really big marketplace is Amazon and it’s not just for books. You can find just about any product and name brand that is a mover and shaker. Again, look at the most popular products in those categories that catch your attention.

DIGITAL PRODUCTS

If you wish to sell products of the digital nature which does not require inventory and which usually carries high profit margins for affiliates, you’€™ll want to check out the Clickbank digital marketplace that ranks product sales from highest to lowest sellers in each category.

Just browse through categories at Clickbank.com and you’ll instantly find the top sellers of digital info products, software and subscription services which are located right at the top listings. See also reference section below for a link to the extended version of this article for visual aids and more detailed guidance.

Once you gather the adequate market research, you can do one of the following:

Create an online store that ships out physical products and merchandise (requires inventory)

Sell merchandise through eBay auctions or their online stores (requires inventory)

Create a site that represents vendors as an affiliate (requires no inventory)

Create your own product, service or software for a digital product (requires no inventory)

Having used at least two of the four places above, you can be assured that you have conducted proper market research to uncover “proof positive” what people are buying and, thus, a profitable niche market.

You can then quickly build out a non-complex site with a simple product offering, find some low cost keywords to use in a Google Adwords Pay-Per-Click campaign with a minimal spend of $50 to test the market and see if you have a winner.

If the initial test results pan out, meaning that you pulled a profit from your test, you can invest more energies, conduct more extensive keyword research and expend more advertising dollars. If the test results do not pan out, find another market until something sticks.

I believe this should arm you with enough information to get you moving toward finding a market with bottomless profits.

Most new internet marketers ignore a systematic three-step approach to market research when they embark on an online business. They either have no clue as to where to start or end up creating a product with little or no demand.

It is essential to follow through this three-step approach, namely niche market identification, opportunity identification and lastly production creation. You will save much effort and disappointment by not jumping the gun on the sequence.

Market research is about niche identification. Big brand names create demand. As small business owner, we do not exert the same market influence. Instead our focus should be finding a specific market with specific need and creating a solution to target this niche market. Use free tools that provide these research functions

http://www.FreeWordTrackerTool.com

http://www.FreeAdwordsTool.com

http://www.FreeKeywordDiscoveryTool.com

Start with a single keyword e.g. Guitar. Say, you have an interest in blues guitar. The natural instinct will be to research keywords – blues guitar. By doing that though, you have precluded yourself from other potential market opportunities associated with guitar e.g. second-hand guitars, guitar chords, guitar lessons online.

Look for less competitive keywords that appear in the search results. They represent potential niche markets that may yet to be fully exploited. Do a Google search to verify your suspicions using this method – type allintitle: keyword. This will return websites with your targeted keywords. This gives you a feel of your competition especially if you are planning to use SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to promote your product.

Extend your research by exploring micro-niche markets with common root words e.g. Blues guitar + learn/teach/online class. Some useful root words to help identify niche markets are: fix, help, learn, buy, solution, solve, successful, prevent, problem, get rid of, do it yourself, recipe, unrevealed etc.

Take advantage of other valuable tools you can use to uncover niche markets:

http://buzz.yahoo.com

http://www.blogpulse.com

http://www.eBay.com

http://www.amazon.com

Now that you have identified your niche, the second step is to identify the problems faced by people in that niche market. You can research through search engines, forums, blogs and even offline resources e.g. Papers, advertisements, magazines and TV. When you have identified a problem, you have identified an opportunity!

The final step is to find/create a product to satisfy your niche market. There are several approaches to accomplish this.

- Create content websites (Content Publishing)
- Promote other people’s products (Affiliate Marketing)
- Selling other people’s product through resale license ( Resale Rights Marketing)
- Sell your own products/ services (Product Creation)

It is important to get the first step right as it gives you confidence and a clear goal to work with. Once you have defined your niche market and target audience, creating the perfect solution that will bring you money and credibility would be much easier.

The internet as a business platform is increasingly becoming competitive by the day. Quite many people are beeing drawn to the whole online business thing, regardless of this the avenues for making money are still many and are also increasing by the day. To be able to profit selling anything from the internet you will need a niche.

First of all whats a niche? According to Wiki a niche is a focused targetable portion (subset) of a market. You migh ask why promote your product to a target portion of a market while you can promote your product to the whole market. Let me put this straight, You need to undersnatd the internet consumer demographics, First and foremost many of the people who surf the internet are there to seek for information, and almost 60% of all internet users are not there to buy, they may be browsing while chatting or doing god knows what, and if you happen to be targeting these guys you are in for a rude awakening, you will make great losses, so there is a reason as to why its stated A TARGETABLE PORTION OF A MARKET,( A SUBSET) Not everyone wants to buywhat you are offering.

So how can you get hold of them:learn more.

Its through research that you can know who wants your product and what really makes these people tick. Basically research helps you find your niche and more impornatly helps you get to know your customer better. On the internet you don’t convince people to buy what you are offering, you just have to come out and spell it out in front of their face what the product can do for them, and how it can change their lives for the better. Being able to understand this gives you perfect contol over your market and gives you an edge over your competitors,

How can you find a niche? Niches are basically everywhere, from the newspapers you read, magazines, search engines and many more e-commerec related websites such as ebay pulse, shopping.com. M.S.N and Amazon bestseller.these toools are easy to get hold of their are FREE, all you need to do is just follow instructions careully. Follow the link bellow and get hold of a FREE niche finding with a combined and detailed report on how to use the tools i have just mentioned above to get hold of great market niches, plus you can also learn more on how to take your niche marketing research to the next level.

Information is basically the 21st century most important tool, and for me its of great pride and joy to be apart of it. I have been an affiliate marketer for almost one year and all my failures and successes have taught me one thing, if you want something go for it, just keep in mind success is very much indeed inevitable.
